04 GC Overland - Steering Problem

I just bought a new 04 GC Overland. When making sharp turns, I get a loud whinning noise out of the front end. Car only has 500 miles on it. Power steering fluid level is fine...dealer says it is normal, which I find hard to believe. Also has very noisy brakes. The brakes sound like they would if you were to replace the pads without turning the rotors...dealer also says this is normal because of the awd. Anybody else experience these problems? Suggestions?

The steering might make a little noise if you are cranking it all the way.I would see if you can get your dealer to let you compare it to another 04 to see if it sounds the same.if it does than it's probably normal, but if the other one is quieter than make them fix it.As for the brakes,if you just bought it it has been sitting for a while since they quit making 04s about 6 months ago.The rotors are probably rusted from just sitting. It has nothing to do with it being awd.Theyre brakes.nothing special about them.if it really bothers you keep complaining and if they dont fix it call chrysler.
