I had drained my differntial and it was thin and red and now i put thicker yellow gear oil like i thought i was supposed to and now luggish driving was atf in there

Ive never heard of using ATF in a differential. Maybe you have posi traction and are supposed to add a friction modifier lubricant to the gear oil though.
