Does anyone know which is the best way to clean the injectors on a 1995 Passat? I also want to replace the gaskets.
Thanks in advance for any tips

There are special machines that clean them off the car, and also companies that sell special additives that are injected into the fuel rail while they're on the car. The old standby is the gas tank cleaner additive, I prefer the Chevron Techron. Why do you feel thay need cleaning?

There is some hesitation on the engine, so I am thinking that I need to replace the injector seals/gaskets, and might as well try to clean the injectors.
I do get a 'burning' smell in the car, like the gas is not burning properly.

My mechanic, (Anksorus Automotive, Ames, Iowa) can perform the service for cleaning, but he tells me that a tank of Amoco Gold will do about the same job. You could give it a try.
