Dear all,

I am new in the forum. Could anyone help finding a good trustworthy source of parts for jeep. NOT A BLOOD SUCKING DEALER!!! Please help me, I need a front axel ASAP. PLease help.
My jeep is 1998 and it has 177000+ miles. Should I give up repairing it?
Quiet frankly I love my car, but it is like ongoing circle. Ones something fixed...next thing you know something else has gone bad....

Some one please advise...

I sure do appreciate any responce.

Alex.

ok, in order to help we may need more info.

which engine do you have, 4.0, 5.2, or 5.9?

which gears are you running?

I might be able to help you out if you give me more info, I get parts all day long for good prices.

My 96 GC is at 171000 as of this week, runs and looks like new, so yeah I think it is very much worth it, I love it when people ask if my jeep is a new one, I just laugh and say um mmm its like 8 years old. Later

First of all,

I do want to thank you for your reply.

As far as my Jeep here is a little bit more on that car.

It is 1998 Laredo TSI Package. It is 4X4 but I normaly

drive 4X2, unles there is a snow or a heavy rain.

It is 4 gear Automatic traninee w/overdrive.

By the way, do you know how difficult and cost

effective to modify this car for manual transmission?

I guess this pretty much it.

Hope to hear from you soon.

I do thank you in advance.

Best Regards,

Alex.

To modify it to a manual trany would run you around 4 to 5 gs. That would be pimp tho. I have a '93 nearing 200,000 w/ a number of random problems that I have repaired and am in the process of working on. I'd say, if you like the car, theyre really comfortable and have great engines, and are willing to deal with the random sometimes costly problems you should limp it along until its really time to cut it off.

I got both of my Axles on E-Bay From the CV Man $150>Seen them listed at napa and autozone for around 90. Every used vechile you will have to repair -a Axle is common replacment.
