90 535i drives in neutral?!?!Mike.S 12-21-2004, 07:12 AM I'm guessing this isn't normal but I had the car in neutral with emergency brake on warming up the car. I had the clutch in out of habit when starting the car. When I started the car I let out the clutch after about 10 seconds (brain realised it's in neutral so no need to hold clutch) and I noticed the rpm drop about 50-100 rpm. I was curious so I tried again without emergency brake. First set car in neutral on flat surface holding in clutch. Car didn't roll. Let out clutch while still in neutral and car slowly moved. Maybe 1/2 mph or so but it moved. Repeated about 5 times and it did it every time. I have NEVER had this with any manual car I've owned. How is it possible to drive in neutral? I'm guessing something is messed up and will require money :( Thank you for any comments and advice in advance. BimmerGurl 12-21-2004, 09:51 PM does the car seem to shift okay since this happened? cause maybe your leakage is of and you werent actual in neutral? i dont know what to tell you! lol definatly on the weird side! vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
