Best money I ever spenttrygstad11 12-20-2004, 01:05 PM I bought a k&N intake kit for my dad's 97 f-250 for christmas. I had to do some custom tubing to get it to fit on but it looks and works great. I was not going to tell him until christmas, but the other day we were out driving around and he had to goose it to get out in to traffic. You could hear the engine sucking in all that air from the filter. I just kind of turned my head and looked out the window. I could see that my dad had a smile on his face, so he says "What did you do?!". The filter is awesome. I did not think that the stock air box was that restrictive but it defently is compaired to the new kit that I put on. I would suggest to all those 351's out there, get yourself a k&N. Paul Masley 01-08-2005, 01:22 PM One thing you need to remember, the K&N will allow more air flow and it will cause the engine to lean out faster than the O2 sensors can correct and will cause the engine to ping. If you hear a ping under hard acceleration or just climbing a slight incline, you will need to increase the octane rating of the gas you use. Is there anything you recomend performance wise? I am planning on a chip, efi approved comp cam, and dual exhaust with x-pipe. RedLightning 01-10-2005, 06:51 PM well stock it is duel, but a x-pipe, catback, and headers are all good, but don't forget to check out the NLOC.net, great website. Other good mods is to advance the timing and e-fans. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
