anyone know what the cylinder compression should be for a healthy 98 2.4. .....(using a tester in lbs)

?? I usually test all the cylinders, if they are all close thats it, if one is low, there is the problem. If two next to each other are low you have found the problem area and know which head to pull. Sorry don't have the numbers.

im getting WAY too high of readings on my engine (i think). im getting 240lbs in all 4 cylinders (all at same time time -within 2 to 3 revolutions). what is causing these high readings? maybe carbon build-up?; i do use "restore" oil additive,but i dont think that is causing it,if it is then that shit really works,haha!

is that a wet test or a dry test?

ether way i don't see that high of number possible within 3 strokes. have you had any engine work done?(ie-total seal rings, shaving the head?)
