Looking for input on my buying decision. What are common problems with the Grand Cherokee...any "bad" model years to stay away from? If you had to do it all over again...would you do it the same? Any other advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

I have had my 93 Gc since it was new and now has 176k. I also live in Upstate New York, where are average snow fall is 12 ft. a year. I drive it everyday and it has always started. I have stopped and picked up others who where stranded in their trucks and S.U.V.'s. and easily drove away. I do not baby my jeep, I drive it. I have replaced and maintained it as well as anyone. It is now going on 11yrs. and the only major problem I had was a faulty P.C.M. 300.00 and a Brake booster 160.00. This is in addition to the wear out items. I feel safe and secure in it and would gladly trust it to drive any where- at any time- with my family. Hope this helps

I have always owned jeeps and at one time I sold jeeps new and used. I would recomend gc's to anyone. All my customer feedback was always good. I currently own a 95 gc w/117,000. only problem is viscuos coupler in quadra trac transfer case. I suggest sticking with select track or command track. they are built like tanks!

yeah, I have a 96 with the 4.0 and Selec-trac tcase. Unless you are doing a lot of hauling, stick with the 4.0. They are bulletproof. Less maintainence than the full time v8 system.
