Problem with electric fan

My electric fan is not working on 92 lumnia Not sure if relay is bad
how can i check it?

Under the hood on the passenger side you should have 2 relays. Take them out, get a piece of wire long enough to connect two of the terminals that your fan relay came out of. Turn the car on, connect slot 30 (the one at 90 degrees to all the other slots) to slot 87 (directly at the other end of 30) and the fan for that relay should come on. That's a quick check to see if your fan motors are working properly.
To check your relays, get a 9v battery, and two pieces of wire, connect the positive terminal to post 85 on the actual relay (they should be marked) and connect the negative terminal to post 86. you should hear a click (the relay energizing); if you don't it may be bad. Swap a good relay in its place to see. (also the electronic fans are programmed not to operate until the coolant reaches 227 degrees fahrenheit. The second fan will operate if the coolant temperature continues to climb or if you engage your A/C.
Also, your coolant temperature sensor plays a big role there too. If its bad, your ECM may not know how hot or cold the car is, and not engage the fans.
