97 Taurus SHO, Noise from front passenger tire0365gt 12-15-2004, 09:33 AM I just replaced pads and rotors all the way around. After i was finished and began to drive, I heard a sound as if something was loose or rattling around coming from the front passenger side tire. It happens mainly when driving on rough surfaces. This was the first I heard this noise.( not sure if jacking it up had something to do with it) I also noticed that the front two tires were worn down on the inside, so they must be rubbing on something. Anyways I was just wondering if anyone knows what the problem is. Also, the ABS light comes on and off periodically, not sure if there is a problem or not. The other thing is the suspension in the back squeaks a lot when going over bumps. If anyone has answers to these problems, that would be great! joe92k1500 12-15-2004, 11:20 AM If the two front tires are worn on the inside, there is most likely an alignment problem. It could be either just out of alignment, or your balljoints could be bad. As for the rattling, make sure the pads have the anti rattle clips installed correctly. If they move a little when putting the caliper on, they will not seat right and you'll get a rattle. If that does not take care of it, look at your suspension and check for any loose parts. TomV 12-16-2004, 09:59 PM The squeaks in the back of my 97 came from the box-like assembly in the middle of the car that supports the long rear wheel control arms. I had to oil (several times now) the pivot points with motor oil. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
