94 B250 How to remove tumbler from ignit. switch?

Hey all, first post
I have a 94 B250 5.2, 188k miles orig engine / auto tranny w/OD.

The ignition switch however, has a problem. You can put the key in and turn it but it doesn't seem to be engaging with the switch properly because where it should engage the starter it turns on the dash lights. As such, you never get the starter engaged. When you retract the switch it releases the key properly.

I would like to replace the ignition switch, which I suspect is the problem, but I don't know how to remove the key tumbler from the switch itself. Rather than pry on it and destroy it I'd like to get it out all in one piece! It's pulled from the column but that's it at this point.

I'm also looking for an inexpensive switch, for column with tilt. If anyone knows this too let me know!

Anyone whose done this and knows how to remove it please post, it's critical that I get this done, I replaced the water pump last summer but didn't add enough antifreeze, and it's only good to about zero F. I can't correct this until I get the thing started again and able to circulate new antifreeze.

Thanks for responding to my post

Have you already gotten this problem repaired?
