hi guys. I got a call from the freight forwarder that my TEIN's will arrive by noon. I wanna install them tomorrow morning. Would someone please upload a scan of how to remove the trunk liner on a P11? thanks for your help. I want to prep it tonight.

If no scan, would someone please let me know just how to do it?

thanx a bunch! :D

sorry dont have any pics.. but its sooooo easy...

1. fold down the rear seats
2. in the opening to your trunk from the seat backs there is a rubber piece of trim, remove it. there are some black clips that slide off and then the lining should be free...

the rest of the lining is removed by the little plastic plugs you see around the trunk. simply pull out the middle and then pull the whole plug out.

you dont need to remove the whole lining to get to the strut towers which is why you should start with the part that attaches to the seat back first. then move on to the plugs and remove as many as you need to fold down the lining out of the way.

b-boogies right. You don't need to remove the trunk liner to remove the suspenion. Just do like he said and you have EASY access to it. Changing the suspenion in the P11 is so easy it's not even funny.

Actually I'm on my way outside to tinker with my suspension and give the wheel well and underside a good washing.

thanks for the info! :D glad to hear it's an easy swap because I just called up the shop as they told me to do a few days ago, and they told me that they CAN'T do it tomorrow. :( :( :( major bummer!!!

so, decided I'm gonna do it myself.

what spring compressor do I need for these struts? I've never worked on a nissan before..so.. thanks again!!! :D

dont worry ken, the swap is really ez..espeically the back..the front you might have to struggle a little bit but it's nothing technical...as for spring compressors, I took off and installed the teins without using them hehehe...i guess if you can bench 500lbs like me....:D JK, i had 2 people push down the springs and i did the dangerous work of screwing on the top nut...:D
anyway, if you are pretty good with tools, it'll take you few hours to install them, not too bad

gforces- which locations did you use on the frame to jack up the car? I am planning to use the front a-arm for the front and rear lower arm for the rear. jack stands on the regular jack up locations for changing the tire.

is there a better location to put the jack or jackstands in?

again, never worked on a nissan before.... thanx. :D

Ken use the stock jack location for your stands.
