High beams will not turn off

Serious.
I have to disconnect the battery everytime I get out. I've looked in the owners manual and that didn't tell me much. I really need to locate the relay that controls the high beams and/or headlights. For the love of god can anyone help?

Symptoms:
low beams and running lights seem to work fine. But during this time the high beams do not turn off at all! The fog lights will not come on with the high beams on as well. I can drive with just high beams on or low AND high beams on.

My eyes are dry from trying to find a diagram of the relay box (if there is one).

I have a '98 Grand Cherokee Laredo 4L straight 6. See the following link for pics. http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?p=2563961&goto=2563961

Is there a way to tell if a relay is faulty?

The headlight relay is in the fuse juction block on the right cowl side trim.Startwith the light relay and go from there. I would lean more to the light switch just my guess. Could be other like dimmer switch even body control module.

I'm not sure there is a relay for high beams, only for reg low beam headlights. Must be the switch in the steering console. Now we're getting somewhere. Thank you for your reply.

Greatly appreciated.

What ended up being the problem? I just started having this problem last night. Haven't taken anything apart yet.

Thanks
