I have a 99 1500 Ram Van with a conversion by Mark III. I am taking the family on a vacation this year and would like to install a second battery to power accessories when parked. The problem is I can't seem to find a good place to mount the battery. Any suggestions?

Thanks!

I also have a '99 Ram van conversion, but Mine has the RV batteries (2)in a compartment in the rear. Space under the hood is scarce in any van especially with AC. So look for space in some side compartment etc. Unfortunately you'll lose storage space. You should also use an RV battery isolater which electrically separates the OEM van battery and RV batteries from one another but allows charging through the one alternator. This assumes you can easily separate the electrical systems used for van and RV purposes from one another. This will assure you'll never kill your primary battery while camping. But you probably know that already.
Good Luck
