Anyone? - 2000 LeSabre Radio

Anyone here have any experience with the 2000 LeSabre Dock-style (white plug) radios?

Anyone know of any differences in their Theftlock function compared with the 95-99 (blue plug) radio? Anyone ever had one unlocked?

Anyone have experience installing these radios? Anyone with knowledge of how they are wired?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I'm in the midst of troubleshooting one of these. It almost acts like it's not detecting ignition voltage when the key is turned on.
- Theftlock light flashes continuously.
- LCD displays 12:00 if the minute button is pressed.
- Radio beeps once if the minute button is held down.
- Screen shows 5 thin red lines for ~5 seconds if any other button is pressed.
- Eject button cycles the CD Eject function.
Beyond that, it just stares back at me blankly. Any ideas?
Guess I'll get out the voltmeter and start measuring the continuity of random, completely unrelated pins. LOL
All I know about the theftlock ones is that the owner of the car it came from is supposed to have a code to by-pass the lock somewhere in the car, probably on a document in the glove box. The theft lock is engaged as soon as the power is cut to the radio. The owners manual for that year has the proceedures for entering the code to disable the theft lock, you just have to get the code. If you can wait until sometime next week, I'll try to look into the one on my mom's Montana. Should be the same as the new one you have.
Oh, theft lock disables the radio until the lock is by-passed.
Theftlock codes are induvidual to each radio. By default, the radio goes into Theftock mode unless the feature is disabled before power is removed. I can over-ride the standard GM Theftlock without a problem.
However, the Theftlock on newer GM radios functions by recieving the VIN number broadcast from the PCM on vehicle ignition to disable the Theftlock. That feature did not come about until the 2002 LeSabre, I believe. Thus, it is a moot point.
MY PROBLEM lies in a very simple problem. I have determined that the radio is simply not recieving the signal that it should turn on. In all LeSabre radios up to 1999, the radio detected this by watching for voltage on an ignition switched 12vdc wire.
Starting around that time, GM started experimenting with communicating "power modes" via the Class 2 (VPM) Serial Data Bus. Their goal being to reduce the number of wires running through a vehicle.
The wiring pin out I have for this 2000 LeSabre radio has an ignition switched wire. Yet, the radio does not power on. My assumption is one of 6 un-identified wires is supposed to be a serial line, and that the radio is unable to work without that serial communication. (My hope was that it's failed over to the igntion wire status, but apparently it looks for engine run codes passing on the Serial line.)
Currently, my biggest questions are:
- If I connect the serial input of the 2000 radio to my 1995 serial out, will the radio power up?
- Do I use the 1995 E&C or VFPWM serial line?
- Which one of my 6 extra wires on the rado is the serial line?
- What do the other 5 wires do? (I have my guesses.)
***Serious insanity beyond that***
- Any electrical engineers out there who'd like to help me track down wires with no wiring diagrams?
- Anyone know a way to manually send a "Class 2 data bus power module "Run" message?
- Anyone have a wiring diagram for the radio of a 2000 LeSabre? Or is anyone willing to get inside their dash and hunt wires? ROFL (I have yet to find a specific pin out, apparently the 2000 radio was rather unique.)
