Kickdown?rolliefingers1079 12-11-2004, 09:46 PM I have found that my truck requires a lot of pedal pressure to get it to downshift, or sometimes it wont at all. Is there a way to adjust the throttle pedal to make it so it will kickdown more that just one gear when I put the pedal down all the way. The truck has power and everything seems fine, it just seems like a dog (especially under load or uphill) because it is always in too high a gear. lineguy 12-12-2004, 02:44 PM There is a TV Cable on the passenger side of the of the throttle body that can be adjusted to get it to shift down quicker. there is a plastic clip holding it in place, remove that and then shorted the cable by sliding it back. You dont need to move it very far to make a difference. rolliefingers1079 12-12-2004, 07:44 PM ok i will try it tomorrow. thanks rolliefingers1079 12-14-2004, 11:36 PM so it tried that and managed to break the clip. it didnt really seem like it wanted to budge at all. i ordered a new one (60 bucks) and i will see if that one is a little easier to mess with. thanks vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
