2001 Jimmy short?Westy65 12-11-2004, 05:10 PM Hi, I have a 2001 Jimmy (70K miles) and the past week it's been giving me trouble - sometimes it'll start great, sometimes I have to say a hail Mary first. When I turn the key in the ignition, the tow/haul button is activated, and the rear hatch is opened. If I keep my foot on the gas for about 10 min, sometimes it's OK. Otherwise I drive with one foot on gas, the other on the brake. I can't figure if it's a short in the system, a starter problem or what. It's barely cranking when I turn the key, and I have to catch it just righ to start it. Hopefully someone else has had this problem and can enlighten me? I'm new to the area I live in, and don't want to get fleeced by a garage. I'd rather have a good idea of what it is before I go in. Thanks, Kathy BlazerLT 12-11-2004, 06:16 PM Ignition switch in the steering column, replace it. Westy65 12-11-2004, 06:26 PM Ignition switch in the steering column, repace it. that's IT??? Aiyaiyai!!
