GS-R vs. Type RHondaITR 12-10-2004, 01:19 PM Hi, I have wondered which car would be better in Street Racing, Track, which car is lighter and so on... Please help me...thankyou dbiggss 12-10-2004, 01:22 PM type r all the way around youngvr4 12-10-2004, 04:37 PM period integralover 12-10-2004, 05:53 PM i think i might have to:iagree:hands down kornflakes28546 12-10-2004, 08:10 PM thats seems like a dumb question to me...? 95dxcivic 12-10-2004, 09:47 PM *type-r*(drooling) kman10587 12-11-2004, 03:50 AM The only advantage I can see to the GS-R is that it's easier to turbo, and GReddy has a turbo kit for it. Other than that, Type R hands down. KrNxRaCer00 12-11-2004, 04:22 AM honestly, stock vs stock ONLY is when the type R would be better for street racing. the GSR is a better set-up for drag racing simply because of its motor. the b18c5 is already pushed to its limits stock, and if you want to get anywhere further than mid 13's, you're going to have to redo most of the motor. the b18c1 however is much more boost friendly, and the cost you would save between the gsr and type r would get you into the high 12's/low 13's (if spent correctly.) if you want a road race car however, the ITR is the way to go because of its superior suspension set-up. driving the two is a night and day difference. i know even though my GSR had neuspeed springs, tokico blues, sway bars etc, when i 1st drove the ITR, it was a better handling car. gsr916 12-11-2004, 01:32 PM i say GSR :dogpile:  mwahahahaha CaTasHtRoPhE 67 12-11-2004, 04:09 PM type-R Duh SubZeroII 12-12-2004, 10:14 PM Type R (particularly the 2001 model, i think it is the best looking one) whtteg 12-12-2004, 11:10 PM Type R (particularly the 2001 model, i think it is the best looking one) Not sure about canada, but here in the states the ITR looked the same from 98+ Just FYI :) Mannyb18b 12-13-2004, 03:19 PM The only advantage I can see to the GS-R is that it's easier to turbo, and GReddy has a turbo kit for it. Other than that, Type R hands down. Greddy is not the only company that has turbo kits for a gsr, or a type r. SubZeroII 12-13-2004, 03:41 PM I like the red interior of the 2001 type R whtteg 12-13-2004, 04:04 PM If you are thinking about boost then GSR hands down, please don't boost a B18C5. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
