My car recently overheated and I blew both head gaskets...
The mechanic I took the car to fixed everything, but now my engine light is on and the code reads P1441, which has to do with the evap system monitoring constant change in pressure. I figured that the vacuum hoses and such would have been removed and reconnected during this recent major repair. Am I Right? The gas cap is on tight.
Also, would this cause performance issues? (e.g. multiple/random misfires?)

When I was driving it back to the shop i was traveling at 55, so I sped up to 65. When I reached 65, I eased of the gas (just enough to steady myself at 65) the tach dropped from 2200RPMs to 1500RPMs in a snap, and I started losing speed with my foot still on the gas! Would this also be a sypmtom of the p1441 problem?!? :eek7:

Thanks,
Kev :loser:

Sorry the only feedback I can give you is take it back to the mechanic you got the work done from and have him check it out.

I usually troubleshoot any problem first then approach 2-3 different shops and get their input before I get one to do any work on my vehicles.

I do wish you luck with your repair. The other option you have now is to get a second mechanic to look at your vehicle and if it was caused by the first mechanic then you have a fight in your hands.

Thanks for Replying!
I did take it back to the mechanic, and said he would look at it. That has been 2 days ago, and without a phone call to me. I think he may have found the problem....... Hopefully!
