3rd gen center console repair question87bluebird 03-01-2002, 11:04 AM I have a very pristine '87 Firebird Formula that I acquired two years ago. Everything on the car is in near flawless condition. However, the center console has the same problem as most Firebirds of the same years. The soft rubber/plastic (?) that covers the center console is peeling away from the supporting structure beneath. My brother and I tried hot glue on his center console (an '89 Firebird) and held it in place for a few hours with small clamps, but that didn't hold up more than a week or two. Does anyone know of a way to repair this problem cleanly and permanently?
