Ok.
After blowing a whole in my rear driver side brake, we replaced that entire line.
The front brake pads are newer(about 4 1/2 months).
We bled the entire system.
The rear shoes were just replaced today.
We're pretty sure we adjusted the adjusters enough, at least they were nice and tight.
Problem: My break pedal is still very soft.
The car stops, nothing like before. The pedal doesn't go all the way to the floor, but comes close.
Before popping the brake line, I had not worries about stopping the car, but I knew the brakes weren't up to standard. Now they're below that.
I'm about ready to take it in for a brake inspection but was wondering what else could possibly be wrong.
Please help(again).

You should bleed the brake line again, focusing on the back brakes. Too much air in the sytem causes the spongy. Also, the adjusters should be able to be moved freely, but it sounds as if that is not an issue if you were able to adjust them. The only other thing is to make sure that all the springs and other pieces are positioned correctly.

Hey, JM2Tall,
Jiust a suggestion to go along with what '97ventureowner told you about bleeding your brakes.
When opening the bleeder I always found it helpful to stick a length of tygon tubing (or any other small diameter hose) over the fitting and run it into a jar or bottle with about an inch of fluid in it. This helps you see the fluid that is being pumped out (to determine if there is any more air coming out) as well as it guarantees that you will not suck air back in while trying to retighten the fitting.

Please help(again). :evillol: It sounds like you still have air in the system.make sure all your bleeders will open .start bleeding the brakes from the right rear wheel first, left rear, right front, and then the left front.make sure you have plenty of brake fluid in that master cylinder. bleed the system sevral times until you see no air bubbles or spurting fluid, looking for a nice even flow. that should take care of your problem. It will take some time , so be patient .
