Electrical Demonsbighauns 12-02-2004, 06:27 PM Hey! Story Time... I had a IG Talon ESi and I harwired a radar detector into it by grounding the negative and putting the positive on the "cigar" fuse. I then went to sell the car and I was gonna take the radar detector out, so I did. Then when I turned off the car, my aftermarket deck stayed on, like with the key out and everything. It stayed on for around 30secs to a minute, unless of course I hit the horn or turned on the wiepers (WHAT?!). So, I just left the radar detector in there to avoide trouble. So then I bought a IG Talon TSi, put an aftermarket deck in and hardwired a new radar detector. Then, a buddy of mine broke the radar detector and I took it out. Then...I turned off the car and the deck stayed on!!! So, I am going to buy a new radar detector regardless, I am just wondering if anyone else has experienced this or what is goin on? any ideas? Thanks alex bighauns 12-08-2004, 05:48 PM anyone? scottsee 12-08-2004, 06:47 PM what equipment works when your take your keys out. just your deck? bighauns 12-09-2004, 06:58 PM Well, my deck will, but also the rest of my stereo too. Until i hit the horn or the weipers or something like that. But it will not actually honk, just turn stuff off. As well, at times if i hit the horn right away after I turn the car off, the deck will come back on for a bit and then turn off. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
