Wicked wheel problemsgalleym 12-02-2004, 03:18 PM I have a '96 2.2L Sunfire that is just about on it's last legs. There is a wicked sounding vibration or rubbing coming from the front drivers side wheel. It is bad enough when going straight but it gets even worse when turning. I have replaced the bearing in this wheel twice and it has new brakes. Could this be the bearing again? Any help would be appreciated. hotbug1776 12-03-2004, 02:44 PM what about the axle, did you ever replace that? they wear out, I'm on my second set for the 95. godenm 12-03-2004, 06:43 PM ive put 7 wheel bearing assemblys(3onleft/4onright) on my 98 z24,and they are always installed correctly, they just start to hum/vibrate. i think my problem is that i hav always had oversized aftermarket wheels, and cornering 25mph curves at 95mph dont help either haha.but i also agree with hotbug, maybe check yur axles/cv joints Classicrocjunkie 12-04-2004, 02:11 AM ive put 7 wheel bearing assemblys(3onleft/4onright) on my 98 z24,and they are always installed correctly, they just start to hum/vibrate. i think my problem is that i hav always had oversized aftermarket wheels, and cornering 25mph curves at 95mph dont help either haha.but i also agree with hotbug, maybe check yur axles/cv joints I third that motion... big dude1 12-04-2004, 02:58 AM i fourth it... lol cv axle went out on my friends prelude and it ripped the hell outta the underside of his car... might wanna get it checked ASAP... vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
