have a 2000 windstar...drives great.....took to my mechanic...valve spring broke...he has never seen this...not expensive but 4/5 days to get part...ford does not stock them..they never heard of it ethier...anyone have this happen?

We must be driving the same car.
This just happened to us. It is going to cost $350 to fix though (to me that IS expensive). I don't know if it is under warrenty or not and was trying to figure that out. Help would be appreciated.

I'm not trying to be smart, but why did you take the van to your mechanic if it drives great? How did you suspect a broken valve spring?
