Have a 1990 Lumina Euro that is a good fun car but the driver window has stopped working. Thinking the motor has blown. Wondering if anyone knows how to replace motor and regulator or has some diagrams showing how cause to have professionally done is $250+. thanks

try banging on the inside of the door a few times with your fist while pushing the button. Sometimes you can get extra life out of it. (I've gotten a year and a half extra out of mine so far)

Could also be a bad switch. Take apart the door panel and find the harness connector for the motor. Figure out which one is the ground (it may be grounded straight to the door itself and hot have a ground wire) Then give power straight from the battery to one connector at a time. If it starts goin the switch/wiring is the problem. If it still doesnt work tap the motor with a hammer a few times, then try it.

the hardest part of replacing the motor is getting the inner door panel off. once you get to it, the original motor mounts with 3 rivets, which have to be drilled out/ ground off. the replacement motor will have bolts to replace the rivets.

Do you know how to get the inner door panel off. Cause I'm not completely sure how to. And I don't have much spare time to figure it out. thanks
