Even getting a bigger muffler (I have two) will help that air escape more and probably make your car function a little better (not to mention sound). Just curious what exhaust did you have? Magnaflow is the absolute best for saturns Flowmaster is good too (what i have). I'm gonna get a titanium muffler with around a 4" diameter tip. I was gonna get an arospeed one but the titanium will be lighter. domesticdisturbans 12-02-2004, 06:31 PM i cant remember my dad tossed it on there so my car would be a tid bit more agressive sounding b 4 i got the car so i cant remember the car is a hand me down and what is a good magna flow exaust system and what kind of money should i expect to spend and power i am getting in return domesticdisturbans 12-02-2004, 09:34 PM i heard when on 4 cylender cars if you go over 3.5 inches it looses everything the exaust is supposed to do as in power and aggresive sound i dont know for sure if .5 of an inch will kill it all that bad but from what i heard try to keep it to 3.5 or lower i was talking to my dad b4 i got the car it was at least had 155 horses so i no it is not that much but he still swanted a lil hustle with good gas millage you know how it goes or i hope you understand sierrap615 12-02-2004, 11:14 PM 2.5 inch is a fairly well tuned exhaust for a saturn sickcallawayc12 12-06-2004, 02:36 PM 2.5 is good. 3.5 is only necessary if you have a turbo kit with a stage two NOS system or something. sierrap615 12-06-2004, 11:22 PM keep in mind, to big of a pipe will reduce torque. mysatilac 01-01-2005, 10:28 PM I got a 4" stainless steel muffler off e-bay that was advertized as titanium, it has the blue colored burnt tip. It looks cool and will give me that sound I want, but it comes with a REMOVABLE SILENCER! (it goes inside the 4" and makes it 2.5") I can get it installed for the looks, and easily fine tune the sound and backpressure. Yes less backpressure on a small engine means less low end power, but expect increased performance on the top end when you need to push more exhaust through it kingpinn 01-02-2005, 02:06 AM hope it works out my friend has a 99sc2 with a apc muffler it sounds better then my cat back on my prelude carguy83 01-03-2005, 12:38 AM i found that 2.25 is best especially if you lower the car. you could have a problem clearing the rear axle if you go bigger. plus its loud to begin with. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
