I want to give my 96 Lumina a tune-up but I can only find 3 spark plugs. How do I get to the other 3? Can someone please help me out. Thanks.

The other three sit behind the engine, on the firewall side. Getting to them is lots of fun, and there's a couple of posts around here describing how to go about getting them. I'd rotate the engine forward with a ratchet strap, then change out the back three. To rotate you just need to be sure the transaxle is in Neutral (not park) and remove the two upper engine mounts. Then just pull that sucker forward and you can get back there to change them out.

There is a special tool that moves the engine forward and it is worth the money. It is called a GM engine moving tool. You can try any auto parts stores,Mac or Snap On,Matco tool dealer.

that tool is sweet, I own one. But for a regular joe, either jacking the trans pan and removing the upper mounts to tilt the engine forward, or use cadgear's method, both will gain you access to those stupid rear plugs

I do it by rocking the car in PARK with the top restrictors out, when the motor pitches foreward far enough, I stomp the E-brake to freeze it there. Then I block the front wheels, so it wont creep and let the motor back down.

I have little arms and just change the plugs without having to rotate the engine. Sometimes it pays to be itty.
