Corvette, S7, S15 and Suprastuffbyalex 11-29-2004, 10:05 PM Hey everybody, these are the drawings I've been working on lately. Corvette: http://img100.exs.cx/img100/8302/1970Stingrayconverti.jpg S7... I decided to add in some fairly detailed background to this one. http://img100.exs.cx/img100/6609/saleens7.jpg S15: this was done freehand, out of my imagination. No reference http://img100.exs.cx/img100/2001/s15sketch.jpg Supra: The styling and bodykit for this one was done from my imagination. All freehand and I used a model for the basic shape and proportions. http://img100.exs.cx/img100/7889/Suprasketch.jpg Btw, sorry for the crappy quality, they're very small files Alex GTmike400 11-29-2004, 10:14 PM Great job! The S7 looks like a pic. Vette looks great too. The S15 is toony, but cool, same follows for the Supra. KustmAce 11-29-2004, 10:22 PM You liar! I only see two drawings here. Amazing, amazing work! Jeep_Rubicon 11-29-2004, 10:45 PM The corvette is awesome, same goes for the S7. Your freehand is getting better. Kanibal 11-29-2004, 11:35 PM sick! the front wheel and tire on the vette look sick as hell. great work. xyfalconsrock 11-30-2004, 02:53 AM too good lemorris 11-30-2004, 09:58 AM I'm lovin the Supra!! Your photorealistic work is fabulous as always, but I'm seeing huge improvements in your non-grid work. Will the real Stuffbyalex please stand up, please stand up, please stand up...and take a bow. Great job! Ra_15 11-30-2004, 02:38 PM Great Saleen! I like the Supra too, Just the bottom of the front tyre which isn't quite flat. Slipknot 11-30-2004, 02:43 PM really sweet MBTN 11-30-2004, 03:09 PM Are you shitting me?! Lukas 11-30-2004, 03:31 PM wow those cars really looks fantastic! 9.9/10! (0.1 off just so you still have motivation to improve for your next lol) Jeep_Rubicon 11-30-2004, 04:59 PM ^This can improve?^ HighOctaneNOSUser 11-30-2004, 07:12 PM Superb Work. Now, go work on my contest entry. Now. stuffbyalex 11-30-2004, 08:19 PM Thanks for the comments and encouragement everybody HONU: don't worry, I'll have something done by feb 14 Alex HighOctaneNOSUser 11-30-2004, 08:42 PM Lol...you better. Jumpman_Z 12-01-2004, 03:42 PM Nice! What type of media did you use to draw the S7? Is it pencil or charcoal? Jeep_Rubicon 12-01-2004, 04:11 PM I believe it's pencil. Jeep_Rubicon 12-01-2004, 04:13 PM Did you use a grid for the Supra? stuffbyalex 12-01-2004, 07:31 PM Thanks again for the comments Jumpman, I used graphite on the s7 Jeep: I did the supra freehand in about 2 hours i think. I used a scale model for reference and designed the bodykit myself, wanting it to look a little "veilside-ish" Alex HighOctaneNOSUser 12-01-2004, 07:45 PM No, that's BOMEX style, Veilside uses alot of curvey edges. Like this...http://img5.exs.cx/img5/2530/03supraF.jpg Jeep_Rubicon 12-02-2004, 03:57 PM I call that body kit, I wont say what for but HONU will probably know, (I just gave it away. HONU don't say anything. HighOctaneNOSUser 12-02-2004, 04:53 PM Well, I'm using the Skyline body kit I posted, so that's taken. PS, I won't say more, but jeep, if you want more pics, PM me. I got side and rear. stuffbyalex 12-02-2004, 07:41 PM You posted a skyline bodykit? Where? Anyways, by veilside I was thinking of one of the Veilside Skyline R34 kits, which is sort of boxy and sharp. Alex Jeep_Rubicon 12-02-2004, 09:57 PM No, I said I'm taking the *Supra* body kit. The BOMEX one. So, that one is taken. I wasn't talking about the skyline. HighOctaneNOSUser 12-02-2004, 11:36 PM I know. You mean the one I posted earlier? Or Alex's drawing? Because I have more pics of the one I posted. I said the skylien kit I posted I called. So yeah. Again, let me know if you want more pics of that Supra kit. PS, it was a Veilside. Jeep_Rubicon 12-03-2004, 10:08 AM No, that's BOMEX style, Veilside uses alot of curvey edges. Like this...http://img5.exs.cx/img5/2530/03supraF.jpg I was talking about this one. Sccrplyr06 12-03-2004, 12:30 PM These drawing are awesome, especially the S7. I was just wondering with the S7 and the right headlight. There is a darker streak on the inner edge that just doesn't seem right. Maybe I'm just seeing things but something just doesn't look right. But that picture is incredible though. I love your work and always look forward to seeing new ones. HighOctaneNOSUser 12-03-2004, 05:04 PM Jeep, I know which one your talking about. That is a veilside one. Here is rear. http://img125.exs.cx/img125/9254/b9-03supraR.jpg asaenz 12-03-2004, 05:19 PM Well I can't say much more, everyone has said it. They look great like always, Alex. I like that toon Supra. al stuffbyalex 12-03-2004, 07:33 PM Thanks guys sccrplyr: the darker streak is a reflection. Now that you mention it, it does look a bit odd Jeep, i was talking to HONU about where he posted the skyline bodykit. Alex Jeep_Rubicon 12-03-2004, 10:30 PM I just read it again, its the veilside one, thats the one i am going to use unless your already using it. ImolaEK 12-04-2004, 11:16 PM The Vette and the S7 are amazing! The Silvia and Supra are cool also. HighOctaneNOSUser 12-05-2004, 12:29 AM This is confusing. Jeep, that veilside supra, your using. Alex was talking about the skyline body kit I posted in my thread. there, it's all good. stuffbyalex 12-05-2004, 01:58 PM Imola: thanks for the comment Alex: which thread did you post the skyline bodykit in? Zwofurti 12-05-2004, 04:13 PM i love the saleen only thing i can see on the vette is that your wheels are not perfectly round, but otherwise it's perfect! HighOctaneNOSUser 12-05-2004, 06:17 PM Alex: My Skyline School Freehand Art thread. Or whatever it is called. Damn, i have sort term memory loss. I think. What was your name again? stuffbyalex 12-05-2004, 11:02 PM Zwofurti: thanks for the c&c Alex: you're joking, right? HighOctaneNOSUser 12-05-2004, 11:33 PM Yeah. I was. I think. What was I saying? stuffbyalex 12-05-2004, 11:52 PM ...that you forgot my name, lol HighOctaneNOSUser 12-06-2004, 08:30 AM Oh. Yeah. Well, If I forgot your name, I must have frorgotten mine. SwrxAMS555 12-09-2004, 10:57 AM wait #1 and #2 are drawings? theres no way, omg thats redamndiculus, your insane, the s7 is awesome looks like just a black and white photo, and the vette, im still haveing trouble believeing its a drawing and not a picture HighOctaneNOSUser 12-09-2004, 11:26 AM Well, it is. PS, the word is Rediculous. Lol. But if you turn the cointrast up on your moniter, you can very clearly see the different shades he used on the Vette. It scanned dark. It is a drawing but still hardly distinguishable. Nice work man. I still love the vette's front rim:) stuffbyalex 12-11-2004, 07:20 PM Thanks for the comment swrx. Alex: thanks again. That front rim took about an hour or so... for the outline. I'm really itching to render that supra line drawing. I'd turn it into a real bodykit and enter it into the contest, but it looks way too toony. Alex HighOctaneNOSUser 12-11-2004, 10:07 PM Too true. I think I'll do the Do-Luck skyline. What car are you doin? stuffbyalex 12-12-2004, 12:43 AM damn... that was mine. Whatever, doesnt matter. I actually found a really cool skyline kit off the net. I'll post it later Alex alex_37 01-03-2005, 03:44 PM i was showin these 2 my sis and she wont believe me that there drawings bushman_XXL 01-03-2005, 09:08 PM that saleen you did really draw , it looks like a photo that i shot with my camera :D. gnasha 01-04-2005, 07:45 PM I'm amazed by the difference between the first two picture and the other two. Ok they have been done freehand but the shading on the first two when well it is not as good on the others. Anyway fantactic job. mentel 01-06-2005, 03:18 PM Alex - You wouldn't mind if I called you out on the corvette and the s7 would you? I've just been seeing drawings from you, and most of them are great, but not profession such as the 'vette and s7. have any pictures of the actual drawing? Don't scan it in, but rather take a few snapshots of it, write something like your screen name on another piece of paper and lay it on top or something. Not to be crude, but I wonder, because i've seen the corvette elsewhere. Just got to make sure :) Ansel Marrow 01-09-2005, 12:28 AM the vette floored me. i thought it was an actual picture for half a minute. excellent photorealism. stuffbyalex 01-09-2005, 05:11 PM Thanks again for the comments. Mentel: I can't take a pic of either one with my screen name beside it. The vette has been sold, and the saleen has been entered in a contest and is currently in a different city. I did have it framed and took a pic before I sent it away. There's also the framed chrome Mercedes that I drew for the same contest. Btw, where did you see the corvette drawing before? http://img96.exs.cx/img96/2524/framedsaleenandmerc8yc.jpg Alex mentel 01-15-2005, 03:55 AM Thanks again for the comments. Btw, where did you see the corvette drawing before? http://img96.exs.cx/img96/2524/framedsaleenandmerc8yc.jpg AlexI was looking around at some different drawing/sketching websites, and came across a picture. I just wondered, these days people like to say someone elses work is theirs. Seems to me they claimed your work as their work. Drawings look nice man, keep it up. HighOctaneNOSUser 01-15-2005, 02:45 PM Really? that's the lamest thing yet "This is my Drawing. I did ti with all my Skillz Thanx 4 lookin at my sztuff. S'all done by me." I mean, I've seen car pictures put as their own, but art? That's sad. stuffbyalex 01-15-2005, 08:21 PM Mentel, would you happen to have remembered the site(s)? Alex: actually not too long ago, (maybe about 3 weeks ago) there was some big art stealing thing going on at deviantart.com. I'm a member of Artpapa, and there was a thread started there about some art stealer who had compiled a full gallery of stolen drawings from artpapa members, saying that some drawings that took 60 hours in real life, only took her 6 or 7. Alex Kanibal 01-15-2005, 09:37 PM what an assfaced turdburgler. people like that should be tossed of a roof and hung from their big toes. HighOctaneNOSUser 01-15-2005, 10:02 PM Yeah, I'd like to see this too mental, and Kanibal, that's one way of solving it:p frag_angel 01-16-2005, 05:20 AM main you so sick of drawing but the supra was it ment to bet toony or realistic ? this supra i did on "free hand" with out grid is that the same thing i had a picture to look at on the screen http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/500/286094supra_rit-med.jpg Zwofurti 01-16-2005, 02:09 PM no that is alex's drawings, i will always remember his style. he is the best car-drawing-artist i've ever seen. if someone say that they did the vette, that human being is pretty sick. anf by the way alex! i've been looking around on your freehand drawings a bit! i can see a issue that you have, and its on almost all of them! you do the wheels really nice, BUT, the rear wheel i like pointing out on every one of them, like, if you see the left side of the car, the rear wheel is steering to the left. AND one thing more, you have a tendens(is it called so?) to do the rear of the car a bit to high! no offense or aomething, just a tip, so you can be the almighty one... :P i hope you understand my suckie-english! i think i have some issues with grammar and stuff, i like to draw on my englishclass. BTW. are you from USA? or UK? //Emil Jeep_Rubicon 01-16-2005, 02:25 PM Hey, have you seen Chip Foose? no offense alex. frag_angel 01-16-2005, 03:42 PM who do you mean ? are from uk or usa ? stuffbyalex 01-16-2005, 03:48 PM thanks again for the comments. frag angel: The supra was meant to have a bit of a toony look to the front bumper part. Zwofurti: thanks for the advice. I appreciate it. I'm from Canada by the way, and there are plenty of great car artists around that are way better than me... i still have alot to learn. Check out some of Thom Taylor's and Chip Foose's work, and this site is awesome too: www.carartinc.com Alex Zwofurti 01-16-2005, 05:06 PM yes i've seen chip foose. alex vette drawing almost looks lie a photo, thats really good. i suck compared to alex=) alex: thanx for the link!!! i have been searching for this kind of internet site a long long time! yeah thom taylor, he did the book how to draw cars like a pro? i have that book, he is good. but actually.. i dont think its so funny to be the best at everything, the leraning is pretty funny. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
