My parents have a 2001 windstar. They turn it off with the automatic transmission in "Park". Then try to restart it and cannot until after they've fooled around with the "gearshift" lever for about 5 minuts. Suggestions?

Sounds like the Transmission Position Sensor. Wish I had my manual with me, I'd give you wheres and what-fors.
