my jeep is wants to die out.

hello everyone, this is a pretty cool site. anyway i have a 98 grand cherokee. for some reason it starts stuttering when i slow down. like when i pull up to the drive thru. it just stall out. i live up in key west and everything is so expensive. so i was wondering if someone can help me out. sometimes it dies when i put it from reverse to drive. it definetley stutters. thanks

Check the IAC Motor on the back of the throttle body. That is a common problem for Jeeps. Sometimes you can clean the IAC and the Throttle body to solve the problem. Although it could be something else
from a coil,CPS & Fuel Pump. I would start with the IAC and then checking the Fuel Pressure. I got a IAC from Advanced Auto for around $60.

Yup I think Cam hit it on the nose, clean the vacuum ports on the Intake Manifold and Throttle Body, if that don't help, I would start by replacing the Idle Air control (IAC) Valve (motor)
