Day Time Running Ligths wont work. HELP!!!

Got in a accident, after I got it back from the body shop they have not worked, Everything else works great (all the other lights) HELP anyone?

First things first. If the truck was repaired at a body shop and something was not fixed , take it back. Also you do know that the drl's will only be on when the truck is in gear, they go out as soon as the truck is put into park.

Body shop claims they worked when it left. Ya right!!!, Any other ideas?

did you check the DRL fuse? there is also a diode for it, I believe under the dash or in the main relay box under the hood.

also, there is a switch with the parking brake, thats why the DRL's go off any time you put the parking brake on.

The DRL's do NOT go out when you put the truck in PARK

I guess it is possible that the tahoe is different than a silverado. A silverado has seperate lights that are not part of the headlights and they come on during the day when it is put into gear and go out once put into park.

Found the problem, turned out to be a 2"x1-1/2" alum heat sink that is finned, located under the dash basicly behind the cig lighter, mounted to a long bar the goes across the tahoe., with a dark colored 2 wire plug, Everything works awsome now.
