Possibility of Holdens Coming To North America.Rich 02-26-2002, 09:34 PM This could be good news for us Canadians and Americans. I for 1, would be very interested and would support the Holden's coming here, especially the Holden SV GTS Coupe. Take a peek Lutz studying possibility of bringing Holden Special Vehicles GTS coupe to States http://files.automotiveforums.com/uploads/232036holden.jpg The Holden Special Vehicles GTS coupe. General Motors’ vice chairman Bob Lutz says it’s only a “study” session, but word is a trip Down Under by GM’s product czar is aimed at determining whether the 402-horsepower Holden Special Vehicles GTS coupe can be adapted for the States. The car, powered by a 5.7-liter V8, comes with a six-speed manual transmission. Lutz is high on the hot cars produced by GM’s Australian arm and makes no secret of the fact he’d like to see them on U.S. highways, possibly rebadged as Pontiac GTOs. For now, he says he’s just taking a look. Which means for now we must make do with Pontiac’s uncladded Grand Prix for 2004. GM showed the redesigned 280-hp model, dubbed G-Force, at the Chicago auto show. MattyG 02-26-2002, 09:38 PM Yeah, I heard this also. Apparently they are thinking of taking over the Holden ute (thats "Pickup" in American) as well - the HSV version of that uses a 5.7L V8 also. If you're lucky you might get the 400HP HSV "Maloo" ute featured at the Sydney auto show - that thing looked mean! vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
