98 GC bucking under heavy load

My 98 GC 318 hesitates severly and cuts off at wide open throttle. already replaced the tps (this morning) and it still does it. after reading this list serve it sounds like the crank position sensor maybe. where is the CPS located, asnd could it be just a dirty fuel filter?

yes it very well could be a dirty fuel Filter. the CPS is located on the Bellhousing of the transmission (driverside). if u need pics just email me Joe dksob81@hotmail.com

Check the Fuel pressure it should read 47-51 PSI. That shouldbe able to tell if have a clogged filter or a bad fuel pump. I tcould be electrical CPS,Coil, Cam Sensor,Plugs,Wires and a bad Pcm. Try to eliminate as much as you can before throwing parts at it. Does your check engine light come on and is there any codes? Was your TPS bad?
