" Transmission "

Hello fellow Venture owners,
Just to let everyone know, my transmission on my 2001 died last week after 110,000 km. I can't even mention how much it's going to
cost, but I'm sure you all know and have a pretty good idea. I called
the 1-800-GM-DRIVE and did not get too far. Needless to say, I can't
and won't be recommending any GM products to anyone. I do have to
mention on behalf of GM is that, I did get assisstance from them when
my condenser went last May of this year. They paid for half and I did
have to do some complaining. I'm looking at a Mitsubishi Endeavour
right now. They have an excellent Warranty package and Financing.
Did I just do a little " PLUG " for Mitsubishi. I should get paid for that.
Anyways, just a warning to future Venture buyers please take note, if
you're in the market for a Venture, think about purchasing an extended
warranty. I have no choice but to keep the van cuz now a days you
need two vehicles per household. Isn't this ironic, I have to call my
insurance company and change the status on the van as a pleasure
driven vehicle only now.

I have a 2001 Venture van. My sungears went before the van was 3 years old. GM made me pay close to $1000.00 for labor. In addition the drip rail started to leak a month ago and I have to pay another $200.00 bucks for that.

I wrote both GM and the dealership two times and received no response for two months until I finally sent them another letter commenting on how much they valuse their customers( not much to me). I for one will never buy another GM product.
