cat converterflacopower 11-23-2004, 12:02 PM i am still looking at different exhaust systems... does it matter what kind of cat converter i get?? i have seen some on ebay for as low as 35 dollars... is that a deal or am i gonna be having problems with it?? i also saw a obx part # CAT104, and it has a lifetime warranty... is it better to just pay the extra thirty and get the obx one or should i keep looking?? WhyteAccord 11-23-2004, 09:10 PM Just read the fine print. "for off-road use only" Don't get caught. Usually because hi-flow gives a louder sound and it doesn't pass emmisions test. If you purchase a catback exhaust, you won't need to replace the cat. Unless you decide to purchase a system that starts from the header to the exhaust tip. BNR34_V-SpecII 11-24-2004, 11:00 PM exhaust system + hi-flow cat converter = deeper exhaust tone, a little louder, noticeable performance gained. flacopower 11-25-2004, 02:31 AM is it necessary to buy headers to feel a difference?? Igovert500 11-25-2004, 02:35 PM No, but it helps. BNR34_V-SpecII 11-25-2004, 04:43 PM yes, it helps, you'll notice the difference. scubawrstlr 11-27-2004, 12:00 AM if you have stock headers you are robbing the system of its full potential.
