The motor mounts are in different locations as well as other issues; however if you have enough time and money it can be done. It is generally cheaper and easier however to put in a 20B (typically around $10,000 installed) than it is an 13B-REW from a FD. http://fc3spro.com/TECH/SWAP/FD3S/rew.html fcdriver 11-25-2004, 05:12 AM A good FC3S N/A to turbo engine swap guide..http://www.rotaryresurrection.com/ Rebuilt rotary engines..http://www.rotaryresurrection.com/ , http://www.pineappleracing.com/ S4 to S5 intake swap..http://homepage.mac.com/carldavis/intake.html . FB-FC stuff. mostly FB http://members.ij.net/mrmazda/cfaqmenu.html#FCF drftk1d 12-30-2004, 04:21 PM what is premixing? Pre-mix: mix motor oil and fuel so that they can be injected into the chambers at combustion time. It is advantageous because the rotary burns a little oil by design. You can remove the OMP to do this, but its not always necessary. http://www.nopistons.com/forums/index.php?act=ST&f=65&t=14446 http://www.nopistons.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=44931 fcdriver 01-05-2005, 03:10 AM Third generation RX-7 specs and production numbers http://www.turborx7.com/rx7specs.htm D3rELiC 02-07-2005, 07:32 PM link list, i'll put some order in all this when it will be completed http://www.fc3spro.com http://www.rx7club.com http://www.mazspeed.com http://www.fc3s.org http://www.geocities.com/MotorCity/Speedway/3734/firstgen.html http://www.geocities.com/MotorCity/Speedway/3734/secondgen.html http://www.geocities.com/MotorCity/Speedway/3734/thirdgen.html http://www.nopistons.com http://www.sa22c.org/ http://www.racingbeat.com http://www.mazdatrix.com http://www.iscracing.net/ http://www.ground-control.com/ http://www.2751engineering.com/blackfc.html http://www.rx7.com http://robrobinette.com/ http://www.rx7trix.com/store/customer/home.php http://www.pineappleracing.com/ http://www.rotaryengineillustrated.com/ http://www.rotaryresurrection.com/ http://www.cpracing.ca/ http://www.clean-air.org/index.html http://www.gforceengineering.net/ http://www.vintagerotaries.com/FORUM/ http://me.a-spec.ca - down http://www.rotaryextreme.com/new.html http://www.rx7specialties.com/ http://www.rx7canada.com/index.html http://members.ij.net/mrmazda/cfaqmenu.html http://auto.howstuffworks.com/rotary-engine.htm http://www.catenet.net/dyno.php http://www.geocities.com/cd23c/dlidfis.html http://www.aaroncake.net/ http://www.dmrh.com.au/jcspecs2.htm http://members.aol.com/solomiata/Drivetrain.html http://www.cochran-racing.com/FSM/index.html http://slackerware.dynu.com/fsm/ http://208.62.166.66:82/guest/shop_manuals/ http://www.teamfc3s.org/main/factor...nual/1986_1988/ http://www.teamfc3s.org/main/factor...nual/1989_1991/ http://www.rx7.com/cgi-local/2ndgencalc.cgi http://rx7.com/cgi-local/3rdgencalc.cgi http://toy4two.home.mindspring.com/offset.html http://fc3spro.com/TECH/SWAP/FD3S/rew.html http://www.16paws.com/rx7/index.html http://www.mazdatrix.com/g1.htm http://www.hitman.hm/13BHints.htm http://www.newwave.net/~flanham/wlanham/ http://www.rx7s.com/ http://www.solarwinds.com/jdbooker/rx-7faq/ http://www.sevensonly.com/ http://home.mn.rr.com/linnihan/1600cc_seconday_injectors.htm http://cp_www.tripod.com/rotary/pg03.htm#R26B http://www.thedodgegarage.com/turbo_coolers.html http://www.fd3s.net/index.html%3fsection=article,186 http://www.rx7turbo.com/index.htm http://www.k2rd.com/haltech/drawings/rx7drawings.html http://www.carfolio.com/specifications/models/?man=3808 http://search.yahoo.com/search?p=Hydrogen+Rotary&fr=FP-tab-web-t&toggle=1&ei=UTF-8 http://rx7.freeservers.com/ drftk1d 02-23-2005, 12:49 PM Factory Service Manuals: http://208.62.166.66:82/guest/shop_manuals/ covers model years 1986 thru 1995. drftk1d 04-19-2005, 01:53 AM awsome FAQ on the FC3S 2nd gen rx7 (86-91) http://www.car-forums.com/talk/showthread.php?t=10248 iougs 05-10-2005, 12:24 PM Troubleshooting info for 86-88 rx-7 non-turbo: The MAZDA RX-7 86-88 technical page (http://rx7.subbuteoclub.com) iougs- DropTop88RX7 08-17-2005, 08:23 AM Another Great Site is: http://www.iluvmyrx7.com master-richie 10-22-2005, 02:42 PM had an interesting problem come up on an '87se i bought for an engine swap. the girl i bought the car from said her boyfriend tried to start the car one morning and it wouldn't. she brought it to mechanics and they couldn't figure it out. i cranked the car, the exhaust pulse was low so i figured mebbe the seals had blown. didn't matter the motor was coming out and i was putting in a fresh s4 street port engine. paid her $150.00 and went on my merry. fast forward --> got my motor in and guess what, IT WOULDN'T START! checked vitals; spark, air and gas. gas to the injectors but no gas in the engine. pour some gas down the intake and it'd start right up. looks like a dead ECU right? NOPE! the injectors we're getting power and the ECU was giving the correct ground pulse. what gives? power and ground = a complete circuit?! bad injectors, all 4? doubtful. i checked the schematic. then i caught it *** condensor F-43 *** it's official name is Radio Noise Filter ($6.00 part). this sucker is a RF noise suppresor for injector noise. a capacitor directly connected to the power side of the fuel injectors. a little black square semiconductor mounted under the trailing ignitor with a single wire coming off it (F-43). when they go bad, they leak voltage from power to ground = short circuit. but this only happens when they cycle = cranking the car. so that's why i had power at the injectors when i checked, I WASN'T CRANKING THE CAR! i disconnected the lead and cranked the car - VROOM!. swapped in another and i've been tearing up the roads ever since! ~Rich jcsaleen 06-18-2007, 01:53 PM www.FD3S.net ~ FD index site for a lot of problem solving and broken down by catagory. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
