Alero runs greatYoshiG3 11-22-2004, 01:26 PM I've heard alot of talk about people saying their Alero's are crappy and whatnot, but I have an 01 Alero and I would have to say it runs nice. It's been on quite a few trips, has 84K miles on it, been in one small fender bender, and it still gets up and goes. I'm thinking about maybe one day getting a Kombat body kit for it. After my system of course XD lol Anyway, yeah, Alero's aren't that bad....they're pretty decent :D And with the limiter or whatever was discussed, I can get my Alero up to 5.5 to 6 RPM's before it will shift...depends on the amount of pressure you apply to the gas. JTrujillo86 12-03-2004, 03:45 PM I have had a few problems with my Alero, but I would say they are far from crappy. I know there are common issues with the Alero, but every problem that I have had with my car, I was aware could happen. So it wasn't a big surpirse. I'm sure I'll be getting a ton more miles of good, trouble-free driving outta my Silver Bullet. Jeremy SIYEED 12-11-2004, 03:59 PM do you guys think you'll buy a new Alero when the time comes? JTrujillo86 12-11-2004, 08:26 PM Considering I have a 2002 right now, I'm hoping that time won't come for a very long time. Also, the 2004 model year was the last for Oldsmobile...so that's a no. My next vehicle will either be a VW Diesel or Honda Hybrid, no doubt. The Accord Hybrids look REALLY promising. Its a good car but keep up with the times they don't make it anymore vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
