96 Aurora tranny

I just installed new shift solenoids-one was broke from filter.
Put all together,disconected the battery to reset service engine-it worked.My problem is when I start the car and put it in gear it is if
I have no transmission.No 1st -drive,reverse nothing-yes I reconnected
the linkage.Please Help!!!

I replaced the A/B shift solenoids in my 95 aurora and the kit came with an L bracket necessary to hold the screen filter in place that's located btwn the 2 solenoids. If you don't install this L bracket the filter will blow out of position and cause the transmission not to shift properly.

I did install the L bracket-when I installed the new solenoids both had
same part number.Are the solenoids different?
