Hey everyone I have a 1997 Ford Escort LX Sedan. But it only has a Cassette player. I'm interested in a CD Player but haven't seen any that look like they would accommodate an Escort. Any ideas?

you have to get a faceplade made for your model escort, i believe it is the same face at a zx2 (big oval) you can get an adapter at any audio store

So I need an adaptor that I can get from any audio store but, What about having a face plate made? Will they do that there as well? Or do I have to order it through Ford? I really appreciate your help with this.

face plate? thats the front of the actual cd player, the kit the replaces the oval is the adapter

The whole front bezel (slot for cd-player, a/c and heating controls) costs like $120 from a Ford dealer. Although, I can get one from a friend for $20.

tip: make friends with a Ford service tech.
