The factory alarm on my 95 GC is VERY inconsistant. It will be fine for weeks, then just go off randomly, or when I am in a hurry...LOL. My driver side door lock is broken and the only way I can get it to go off is to disconnect the battery for a few moments. It is also causing the engine to not stay running...but that only happens occasionally as well...when I reset it, everything is fine for a while. I REALLY would like to just disable it, I have no use for it. I just want to get in and go...no alarm needed, and it's getting very inconvenient!

Please Help...

Thanx

The easiest way would be to pull the VTA (vehicle theft alarm) relay. Inside the glovebox, if you remove the screws, there are some relays.
There are 6 smaller relays the same size, and a few larger ones. looking at them from the passenger seat the VTA relay should be the top left of the 6.
