How to disable 95 GC Alarmscooner 11-21-2004, 11:44 AM The factory alarm on my 95 GC is VERY inconsistant. It will be fine for weeks, then just go off randomly, or when I am in a hurry...LOL. My driver side door lock is broken and the only way I can get it to go off is to disconnect the battery for a few moments. It is also causing the engine to not stay running...but that only happens occasionally as well...when I reset it, everything is fine for a while. I REALLY would like to just disable it, I have no use for it. I just want to get in and go...no alarm needed, and it's getting very inconvenient! Please Help... Thanx The_Penguin 11-21-2004, 12:52 PM The easiest way would be to pull the VTA (vehicle theft alarm) relay. Inside the glovebox, if you remove the screws, there are some relays. There are 6 smaller relays the same size, and a few larger ones. looking at them from the passenger seat the VTA relay should be the top left of the 6. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
