new model tiburon!!jayrus58 02-26-2002, 12:28 AM Jst wonderinn wat u ppl think about da brand new tiburon frum hyundai (2003 model), i think it looks pretty sick(as in good), its a sports car now, plus da fact dat it has ferarri grills, i think stock hp for da gsr model is 190hp i dunt know all da statz so if u do pls post it.......thanx Nxtyoung 02-27-2002, 01:02 PM 181hp@6000rpm(Crank) 177 lb-ft(crank torque) 148hp@5000rpm(wheel) 161 lb-ft(wheel torque) My opinion is it is still a hyundai NB8CT 02-27-2002, 02:43 PM I agree with nxtyoung that it is still a Hyundai. But I do have to give it up to them for at least trying, its a hell of a lot better that the old tiburon for sure! I mean it did make SCC's GR8 rides for 2002 so it cant be all bad, but for less you could get a SE-R V-spec, a car that will most likely have more aftermarket support. jayrus58 02-27-2002, 05:34 PM well da car jst came out ppl....u dunt even kno how much after market parts it will have in 3 years.... how long is da ser been out, and it does come with really good options....ricaro bucket seats......for its price Neutrino 02-28-2002, 03:48 AM Still a hyundai. Should I say more? TatII 02-28-2002, 10:20 AM yup, it looks nice, its powerful, but i wouldn't be caught dead driving one. (no offense to the koreans in here) NismoDrifts 02-28-2002, 03:43 PM "still just a hyundai" ^people said the same thing about honda back in the day..... i like that car.......the interior does suck though, too drab. i also cant trust them because of how hyundais cars usually behave. CAptynCrunch 02-28-2002, 03:53 PM I don't know, Hyundai has come farther in the past 5 years then any other company in the past decade. If i'm not mistake the sonata's transmission(the tip-tronic) comes from porche. The new tiburon looks like a shrunken cross between a Supra and the R35 concept car and everything they're doing is getting better by the day. Hell the thing comes with recaro(sp?) racing seats. I say give it 5 years and nissan will have some serious competition as the top import company. jayrus58 02-28-2002, 06:11 PM u guys havent even driven da car so dont critisize da car unless u own or driven one(how do u spell critisize?!?!?)...... props to CAptynCrunch, and NismoDrifts hell of a lot better than da new integra....well in my opinion........ NB8CT 02-28-2002, 06:20 PM Originally posted by jayrus58 u guys havent even driven da car so dont critisize da car unless u own or driven one(how do u spell critisize?!?!?)...... props to CAptynCrunch, and NismoDrifts hell of a lot better than da new integra....well in my opinion........ Do you have to drive a Yugo to know it sucks?? jayrus58 02-28-2002, 06:29 PM oh cmon!!!!, u kno wat i mean....jeezzzzz:mad: NB8CT 02-28-2002, 06:44 PM I know man I'm just playin NSX-R-SSJ20K 02-28-2002, 06:56 PM sport compact car has a twin engined Tiburon that has 575 hp or something and there's a picture of it doing a burn out with one engine in reverse and the other in drive Polygon 02-28-2002, 07:35 PM If it looks anything like last years model. :apuke: I'm sorry but those are one of the ugliest cars I have ever seen. I don't get the attraction. flylwsi 02-28-2002, 08:00 PM http://global.hyundai-motor.com/index.asp?url_id=../navigator/gatewayforWT.asp?url_id=http://www.hyundaiusa.com&direct_id=usa this should get ya figured out... or www.hyundaiusa.com they arent that bad jayrus58 02-28-2002, 08:17 PM beauty, beauty, beauty....u see da options on dsat thingz shiet!! Polygon 02-28-2002, 08:35 PM A far cry from last years model. MUCH better looking. NismoDrifts 02-28-2002, 09:05 PM NSX yeah that car rocked. It had two transmissions so they put one in first and one in reverse and did a backward burnout. That beast was the old model though, and its privately owned. Its fast as mess though, runs on methanol so no intercooler for its turbo, two engines, some sick mad scientist project...............too bad its manueverability sucked Neutrino 02-28-2002, 09:56 PM Originally posted by NB8CT Do you have to drive a Yugo to know it sucks?? I second That!! NB8CT 03-01-2002, 12:59 AM I see a few downsides to this thing: 1. Has an open diff 2. Weight distribution F/R is 63/37 3. Weighs more than Butter Bean after his Thanksgiving dinner (3023lbs) 4. Crappy numbers for a "performance" V6 (out of a Sonata :apuke: ) TRU Racing 03-06-2002, 02:10 PM I do like the tiburon and I am impressed with what has been done with it. Keep up the good work Hyundai TRU NSX-R-SSJ20K 03-06-2002, 06:45 PM despite what polygons said i think the first incarnation was actually not a bad looking car then they gave it quad headlights and it looked like a frightened cat or something vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
