S14 or S13?

Hey guys whats up? I just wanted to ask you guys what you would pic and what you like better. The S13 or the S14 and WHY? I have an 95 S14 right now, but a few of my friends have S13's. I was just wondering if I could actually sell my S14, buy an S13, and have enough money left over for the redtop. I will most likely keep my S14 and do the Blacktop Swap this winter, but let me know what you guys think. Thanks a lot.

well if you have the money for a black top in your s14 then you'll have the money for a black top in an s13 with some left over for more mods..
basically, you can have a more powerful s13 (assuming you put the extra money into the engine) or a fast s14.. cause they'd both be fast..

hrm... since you don't have the kouki S14 (which i prefer over the zenki S14) i would go with the S13. A redtop into a fastback would definitely be hot. you can't go wrong there... and based on what D-Bo said if you would have some leftover even after a swap... a lighter S13 with a bigger engine bay would be the way to go~

But of course nothing is wrong with a S14. Originally that's what i was looking for until i happily settled w/ the S13. It's really up to you bud.

S14 are more modern in a sence (the intereor aspect)....it all about taste...

You already have the s14 so why hastle with selling it and finding an s13 in good shape. All 240's are cool. Keep your car and fix it up. Put the s15 front end on it and all these guys will change their minds and tell you to keep it. I would be cool to have the 240 that sticks out to. Since your friends all have s13's, wouldn't be nice to stand out from them?

S14...NEVER (unless it was a nice kouki)
S13...ONLY!!! (unless it was a Onevia)
S15...IN A HEARTBEAT (especially if it was SpecR)

to each his own i like s13's but i also like the s14 kouki im w/ these guys but in w/ s13wanabe if u aready have a s14 then just keep it put in a blacktop and then do a s15 or a kouki conversion. and it sounds like ur hangin out w/ a good crowd since ur boys have 240's also

The 91 & up S13 coupes are my fav in the S13's...I really like the S14 looks but the S13's seem lighter to drive to me...I prefer a coupe.

hm..... if i had my way..... i would get s13 and swap with the front clip of the s15.... sr20 swap and twin turbos.... omg.... drooling now.... but theres nothing wrong with an s14 those are pretty damn nice.

interior??? Just rip all interior OUT!!!! lol na j/k but i plan on ripping all interior out but the two front seats. I would say get a s13. I just like them better, but any way its your car and money so pick what you like best....since all your friends have an s13, i would prolly keep the s14. But then again you guys can swap out parts and shit if you all drove s13's. lets say someone gets type x tails....you need "better" looking stock tails, im sure your friend(if hes a real friend) would let you use his stockers since he wouldnt be needing them anymore. I own an s14 kouki but wouldn't mind having an s13. I prefer s14s over s13s though because they are usually in better coniditon rust wise (newer) and they don't have a huge intersteer problem. If you rip out the airbags, rear seats, seat belts, and trunk carpeting. It's the same weight as an stock s13.

I don't know why you guys hate the s14 zenki so much. I just don't like the plastic headlights but then again, I appreciate the mechanical aspects of a car than the visual.

visual aspects are a nice plus but as long as it's clean and looks mint, it's just as nice. I go around to a few meets and see people's s14 zenkis which are beautiful and then when i hear they only paid about $5 grand for them. It makes me feel like i overpaid for my kouki.


Btw, about the discussion on SRs. I'd like to keep it oem jdm and put whatever motor your car;s year cordinates with. I hear the s13s are capable of producing more power if you plan on doing more than 500hp but i don't want an 500hp daily driver. Be sure to know the difference between the s14 blacktop and the s13 blacktop too.

i dont know why people dont like the inside of the s13, i love the big sweeping dash, anyways i would like to own a s14 but the longer i have my s13 the more i like it, so i guess i would stick with it just because its cheap, but if i got a s14 i wouldnt mess around with an sr20, id go with rb20 and build that up all the way, with an s15 front, oh yeah that would be sweet.

Just make wise decisions about your choice of mods. If I were you, I would try to have a car that was different than your group of friends. I have two friends that bought CRX's; one is alright, the other one is riced-out like you won't believe. The point is, I'm not planning to get a CRX any time soon! ( not that I was EVER planning on getting a CRX! :) )

A few things, first to theenlightement, a 1995 240SX and a 1995 Silvia are both S14, S14 doesn't means it's JDMtyte, it refers to the chassis. So when we say S13 or S14, we mean the 240SX if we live in NA and Silvia if we live in Japan.

Second to GSR2N94, I am not ruining this forum with my lame comments, people like you are ruining this forum because your starting the 50th thread on S13 vs S14! We have enough arguments that are so clearly a basic choice of personnal preference. If you want to ask what's better, a Supra or a Lada, then it's easy, but S13 vs S14 is just a matter of PERSONNAL PREFERENCE! Same with SR vs KA, 2JZ vs RB or any other nonsence, they both have their strenghts and their weaknesses, 2JZs can make 1200hp on pump gas, RBs can rev to 13,000RPM. SR is light, KA makes torque. If you want to know which is better, find out for yourself and make your own opinion about it, but don't waste our forums space with your dumbass threads and get killed.

I dont see how you guys are getting pissed at logik for saying this, he's trying to drop a sarcastic hint that we are tired of these type threads and you asking something that is BS, it all comes down to personal preference and what style you like.. do you really want us to make your life decisions on what car to get???.....thats what seems fucked up...
