The front speaker wires should be on one connector, the rear speaker wires should be on another with the power wires on their own.
There are 2 black wires, both are ground
There is also a brown/white and another grey wire that are used for the adjustable dimming(dimmer switch)- I don't know if a replacement radio can use these

Have you tried with a test lamp? i mean, if you dont really know how your wires are, try with a lamp, first identify the DC, ground and remote or ignition. Afterwards with a battery like a double AA, try to find out your speakers.... a little bit trick but it works, Good luck.

You can go to Best Buy and get an adapter harness that will make the factory connections plug right into that unit, without trying to figure out what every wire is for. They are usually only $12-15.

You probably know this, but make sure that unit is grounded BEFORE doing any connecting. That will protect it from damage.

I agree with Jeff, go to best buy and buy the wiring harness. This will save you A LOT of headaches, Then, you can literally just plug in the pio to the stock harness.

Or you can go to this website, that is if you already chopped into your factory wire harness. http://www.corvetteradios.com/Page.html
