Soo... my buddy wants to race my dad's 02 Toyota Tundra V8 with his Subaru WRX(5spd) on the highway? Hmm.... his WRX only has a BOV and the Truck is stock.... he wants to race on a roll, 55 mph. Who will win? I say the truck, but we haven't done this yet...

i'm gonna say the WRX because altough it is less powerful, the gearing is better in the WRX and the scooby is nearly 1000 pounds lighter. but I don't know trucks tha well.

Probably the WRX, especially if it gets into higher speeds.

Yeah sorry wrx for me to...much lighter, geared for racing, and at 55 you can keep it high enough in the rpm to take full advantage of the turbo

The WRX will rape that truck, BADLY. For one the truck isn't all that aerodynamic. Another thing to look at is what WRX's trap at through the 1/4 mile. They trap around 93 mph, whereas the Tundra traps around 89mph. 4 mph in the 1/4 mile is huge. Hopefully he'll miss a shift.

wrx's arent that great a high speeds because of gearing (short gears) compared to other cars, but when compared against the tundra, sorry.

the WRX has more power, less weight ,etc, than a Tundra and Toyota Tundra engines are the weakest fullsize truck engine out there. About the only truck quick enough to stick with a stock WRX is Chevy Z71 or a HEMI.Maybe any other v8 but not a toyota. Sorry man.

Yeah i honestly think the only sure chance the Tundra might have is going up a hill.

or hte new nissan titan pick up truck. thats even faster then a hemi, and its a mid 15 second truck stock. the tundra is a mid 16 second truck or worse i believe.

Unless I'm wrong and someone can show me the error of my ways the fastest stock off a dealers showroom floor was the GMC Syclone. GM made GMC quit making them, cause they couldn't have a V6 truck blowing the doors off there fast V8 Corvette, now could they?

Now correct me if I'm wrong but 0-60@4.9 is faster than 5.4 an 5.8, and the 1/4 in 13.6 is faster than 13.8 an 14.2. So guess what sportfans, GMC Syclone wins. Now run the WRX against the Syclone and guess who would win now?

Lightnings are pretty beast, we beat an 04 WRX the other day in my buddys Lightning. For this one the WRX all the way.
