Problems startinganaples 11-16-2004, 01:02 PM I have a 2000 Solara and after the car has been driven and warm, when the ignition is turned off and try to restart it cranks but has a very low idle and dies. I must wait a few minutes and then it starts fine. Any ideas...I have the SLE V6. Thanks. lilm111 11-16-2004, 02:06 PM i have a 99 and i experience something like this. when i turn the key it just cranks put doesnt start. i noticed that when i insert the key slower it stoped doing this. No idea why but my gut says its something to do with the secruity system. anaples 11-23-2004, 01:54 PM That does not sem to be the problem for me. I can turn the car off and leave the key in the ignition, wait a min or so then turn it over and it will not stay running. If I leave the car off for a few mins then turn it over it starts. Weird....!! tycondroga 11-28-2005, 01:52 PM I am having the same problem with my 2002 Solara V6. From my troubleshooting and research, clean the Idle speed control (ISC) valve. Carbon buildup can cause the noticed problems. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
