I am having a heck of a time programming my new remote. I have the instructions (all versions of them!) and nothign is working. I get all the way to the "confirmation tone", but the keyless entry still does not work.

I am wondering if this is due to the constant "fast flash" of the center console status monitor. According to the vehicle security system operator's manual this is supposed to indicate that the system is preparing to arm in 30seconds. Mine flashes ALL THE TIME, NON STOP!!!

Please, someone give me a clue how to stop the fast flash and get this thing working!

I had the same problem with my 95 Pathfinder, only to learn the receiver under my drivers seat was bad. Nissan no longer makes these receivers, nor could I find one aftermarket or even used. I have gone to an aftermarket alarm/keyless entry system from Bulldog. I got it at Pep Boys for $45.00, works great !

Ugh, I was afraid of that! DId you install it yourself? I am really just interested in the keyless entry aspect, don't care too much about the alarm. Thanks for the info!

Yes, it took me about 30 or 40 minutes to install, pretty simple, easy directions. I haven't had any problems with it so far. Good luck.
