Have a 99 GC I6. Gov. Pressure solenoid went and back fed into PCM and fried it. Any other PCM's work other than one for my trans (42RE)?

Thanks

Did the PCM fry or was it the Trans module? The pcm is big money from the Dealer might want to try a Salvage yard or chek E_Bay picked a back up for my Grand for under a Hundred.

I have an extra PMC from a 1999. It came from a 4.7L...not sure if it's the same hardware.

I was wondering if you wanted to get rid of that 99 PCM, was it out of the Laredo or Limited. Let me know, thanks.

I replaced the (PCM) in my 99GC the total cost was $450.00 for (PCM) from dealer
that was with shop discount and tax exempt and they also charged $49.95 to flash system after in stall. 99 is the only year that will work and only grand cherokee. 4.0 is different than 4.7 and if you have anti-theft chip in key your vin number will tell you alot.

if you decide to use a junkyard unit make sure the air bag was not popped if so this tends to fry (PCM)
