got my new carslammedscion 11-14-2004, 06:46 PM i purcashed a mustang its only a 3.8l v6 so the insurance is cheaper until i pay off my loan and then im going to put in a supped up 4.6l and i was wondering if there was any sites it has a 5 speed right now and i am also planning on having a manual when i get the 4.6 thanks for any help -The Stig- 11-14-2004, 07:04 PM ummm so you bought a V6 Auto? Why not a V6 with 5 speed. They do make those. Save yourself the trouble of swapping in a manual transmission. But whatever,... you can pick up all your manual tranny swap parts out of a junk yard. Cheapest way to go. I say that, because if you're buying a Automatic V6 and looking to swap to a V8 with manual later for insurance reasons. Must mean you're on a low budget. So off to the J-yard you go. Andydg 11-14-2004, 07:11 PM Congrats on the new car and keep us posted on the V-8 swap. GritMaster 11-14-2004, 08:40 PM Punctuation is your friend. it has a 5 speed right now That clear up the confusion that's soon to ensue? -Josh- 11-14-2004, 11:35 PM The manual V6 stangs aren't to shabby, still slower than My Buick but not to bad. Forget the 4.6, get one of those Roush racing engines from Scoggin Dicky Parts Catalog. -Jayson- 11-14-2004, 11:39 PM a kid down the street from did something really nice to a v6 stang. He spent the whole summer replacing, the exhuast, brakes, entrior, wheels, dash, bumpers, lights, tons more shit, and added a supercharger to it. It was supposed to be pretty fast, he spent alot of time on it, and did it all himself. Well maybe he shouldnt have done it all himself, cause he didnt tie of a hot wire, it touched from grease or whatever, caught the car on fire one night, car was totalled. To bad to cause i really wanted to race him. HIs was a 2001 V6, so i dont know what year you got cause i dont like fords or mustangs so i dont follow their engines at what not. But good luck with the car. clawhammer 11-15-2004, 12:18 AM Converting an automatic to a manual is quite a bit of work. Just sell it, and get a V8 manual. Underground_Killah 11-15-2004, 12:39 AM um... he has a manual... read his posts... don't worry about the 4.6 man, get a 302 or a 350.. those are some bad ass engines... Automatic 51 11-15-2004, 12:55 AM yeah, if you're gonna do something big like and engine swap, don't get one that every one else has. go big. pre98zetec 11-15-2004, 12:57 AM um... he has a manual... read his posts... don't worry about the 4.6 man, get a 302 or a 350.. those are some bad ass engines...350= chevy motor.. chevy motor in ford = big :nono: 351 on the other hand :evillol: duckied 11-15-2004, 01:05 AM drop a ls1 in it, they can beat godzilla you know youngvr4 11-15-2004, 01:23 AM ^^ hehehe DeViL 11-15-2004, 01:44 AM 350= chevy motor.. chevy motor in ford = big That tends to happen a lot with the old 30's-50's Fords. -The Stig- 11-15-2004, 01:55 AM Punctuation is your friend. That clear up the confusion that's soon to ensue? Ahh, I misread his post. My whoops. pre98zetec 11-15-2004, 02:33 AM That tends to happen a lot with the old 30's-50's Fords.I know, It's a shame to see  crazy_ugly_coyote 11-15-2004, 03:50 AM you bought a V6 rustang? WHY on earth..... oh never mind. im sorry! dont waste your money on it. just keep it stock for now. hold the resale value on it and sell in the future so you can buy a better car. -The Stig- 11-15-2004, 04:04 AM Be a little bit more open minded to other peoples choices. Keep on posting like that you won't be around here for long. Underground_Killah 11-15-2004, 01:32 PM argh.. i meant 351.. but you can put a 350 in it.. JohnC24 11-18-2004, 11:38 AM congratulations on getting a stang but those would never be fast unless it's a gt, why waste money on a stang besides the interior. thecackster 11-18-2004, 11:45 AM If he has the Time and Money.... He could turn that car into a pretty sweet sleeper... no one thinks a "v6" mustang would have a 351 in it... you he smokes the pants off of them... it will be funny as hell... I'm not even a stang fan... but hey if sombody wants to do somthin "out of the ordinary" more power to them DeViL 11-18-2004, 03:44 PM Sorry to be off topic but is anyone else getting annoyed by this Related Links at the bottom of the page?
