dyno'd

redtop sr20 with basic bolt ons and 15psi. ran a 13.4 at 106 a few weeks ago with a less agressive tune, a horrid 2.2 60' and stock shifter.

just wanted to settle what a stock t25 would do because there is a lot of misinformation out there.

hey now... lol. im no longer a used car salesman ;)

its been a pleasure to own so far. lots of small problems but all fairly easy fixes (after many headaches).

i've got lots of plans for it...

I out dyno'd ya.


With a slipping clutch (which failed 2 days later), misfiring on the dyno and running extremely rich.

Great numbers. It would appear that Import Tuner had a bad engine, cause with bolt ons they only saw 223 whp on the stock turbo. I'm really surprised by your 1/4 mile time, as it isn't illustrative of your horsepower at all. I believe the old 240's weighed around 2,750-2,850 lbs. For your car to be dynoing at 250 whp and hitting a 106 mph trap it doesn't seem to make too much sense. Your gearing must be really good on that car. It's either that or you have a robust curve. In any event, you should stand by your track numbers more so then your dyno sheet. :)

your could be a modded T25. same theory i suspect goes with Rednecks SR. since even in freshalloy they say that its rare for a bone stock T25 to dyno over 240whp and thats tuned.

but anyways thats a great power curve and congrats. also 2001Z28LS1, a S13 weights around 2600lbs. so with 250whp or 300 plus crank hp, its should be trapping higher then 106mph. considering a supra makes 280whp and weights 3600lbs and traps at 106mph.

im actually running so lean around 3500 that if i'd tune it up i should be around 265/280 or so. all i need is an afc.

after that, dr's... and the 12's should come :smile: i plan on getting an lsd after a 12 sec pass, just to rub it in, hehehe.


106/107mph should be good for 12.9's already. my open diff and lack of good tires is holding me back. i need one or the other.

Well, my clutch was going south on the dyno...

Dyno'd on Sunday, Clutch broke in pieces on Tuesday. :lol:

Just got the ACT clutch in today. Still waiting on my Fidanza 9.5lb flywheel. Then a SAFC-II and I should be around 270whp-280whp max. According to all the dyno guys, and all the Supra guys that were there cheerin my little Datsun on. Also, the random missfirings on the dyno didn't help... can't diagnose it unless the car is running under a load under full boost. So I gotta wait till the friggin clutch is broken in.

When a guy who puts down 600+ to the wheels tells you that you've got the potiential to make 20-30 more hp from a simple tuning job. You tend to listen. haha

Not to try to hijack this, but anyone have ideas what a 240 with an RB25DET would be putting down, virtually all stock, cept for intercooler and a few other trinkets that shouldn't affect HP numbers.
