engine stands

just bught one, i have no idea how to put my engine on it. can somone help please. 6 bolt 4g63 shortblock, no head. yeah, sooner the better, cause i'd love to delete this thread as soon as possable =)

just put the bolts through the trans mounting holes. you have to use a engine lift to hold it up high enough while you bolt it on. im not sure what kind you got but if you can take off the engine mount bracket and bolt it to the engine then slip it into the stand. that usually works better

yeah, i have the kind where i can take the mount bracket off and screw it into the block then pick it up and slide it on the stand. but the thing is, i have no bolts. what bolts will i need, how manny?

not sure you just have to see how long they have to be. get the thickest kind that will fit and use all the arms you've got. spread them out evenly

well, i figured it out. i'll finish up this thread so if anyone is searching the site looking for an answer they can get one.

when bolting the engien stand plate to the engines trans mounting bolt holes(4 of them), use 10mm bolts with 1.25 pitch 70mm long,

that and for further research you must have the flywheel off...

also the turbo mounting bolts work excellent in holding the block onto the engine stand!

You took my suggestion :D Turbo bolts are the tits for mounting your block to the stand. I always try to keep plenty around.
